Dates back to the 1860s, first recorded in Jerry Thomas’ Bartender’s Guide. Possibly older, as sailors drank similar mixtures.

Method for creating a Whiskey Sour cocktail
Dry shake first, then shake with big ice to reduce dilution and create foam, strain into glass with one big ice. Can also be served straight up in a coupe with no ice

2 drops Angostura or lemon peel/cherry
